My wife got tired from carrying around gear

So, because my wife got tired from carrying around gear, I built this:

With wheels:

The back. The silver box in the middle is the Geekom AE7 mini pc:

The front, including some USB connectors and a Behringer UMC1820:

And a drawer to stash a way a small keyboard and a touch screen.

This drawer is also helpful to reach the inputs at the back, if I need these.

16 Kg in weights, but luckily, as I mentioned above, there are wheels.

Kudos both to you and your wife!

What touch screen is that one and how reliable you deem it to be? Thanks

This is all too complicated for me. I would have just gotten a new wife😎

Rather reliable, but production has been discontinued:

The biggest fight is to get the mini computer detecting the screen by usb-c. The mini computer has the same difficulty with other usb-c displays.

Well, to compensate for my midlife crisis, I bought a new guitar. Much cheaper and less trouble. :grinning:

Yeah, I’m debating what touch screen monitor to get. I need touch, I have now a Lenovo, but I want to go mac mini m4 pro, and I need touchscreen. I could get the Lenovo m14t Gen 2, but was hoping to get something cheaper.

Nice, which model is it?

I assembled it myself:

No strings attached?

One day you’ll wake up to a complaining guitar…

Ernie Ball, actually

“Je loog tegen mij, alsof ik een kind was. ‘k Geloof dat je dacht dat ik helemaal blind was…”

I do have more than one guitar, so such an accusation would have some validity…

Oh, thanks :+1:
I had identified the flightcase at Thomann, but couldn’t find a version with wheels. Clever!

Were the Adam-hall accessories designed for this flightcase or did you have to adapt things?

Is it stable when placed on the wheels and handle?

Also what is this piece of wood?

It is not a set, but I didn’t need too much diy to make it fit. It just happened to fit rather well.

Yes, it’s stable (also because of the wooden pieces):

The wood is to align the rubber feet with the wheels. I didn’t want to have these wobbling and tearing up the casing, which can occur when I screwed much longer feet directly to it. Aluminum tubes would have been nicer

Beneath the plastic mount of the telescopic handle there’s also a small piece of wood, because the case has a dent at that point.

Btw, the telescopic handle should have been delivered with 2 plastic mounts, but I got it with just one. I figured I could do without, but two would have made putting things together easier

I had the same issue when my geekom recognizing my screen. I use a 3.2 gen cable and put stickers on both sides and ends to always connect them the same. Never got problems since.

Same approach here, except I borrowed my daughter’s nail polish (for marking the connectors, that is)

Good idea… probably my stickers will not survive for a long time.
