Hi,
I have tried several times to install GP 5.0.40. It seems to begin the process i get the spinning icon that says something is happening and then it just stops.
I’ve disabled by antivirus with no effect.
The only thing that I can think of is that this drive is new and Samsung Magician was used to clone from an old drive. I noticed that a lot of folders are marked read-only. I tried to remove that setting for key GP folders but nothing seems to work.
Can someone please help. Thanks.

I did this several time for Win install using Clonezilla…
I think it’s useful to tell a little about the system you’re using: Windows/Mac? Version? Do you already have an (older) installed GP version? Etc.
Samsung Magician operates (during cloning) at the filesystem level. I doesn’t do any real magic at the os/application level. I used it several times without any problems (Windows)
Download Gig Performer again.
Right Click → Properties
Click on “Unblock” if it is available
Run the installer as administrator.
The “Unblock” suggestion worked. I learned something new! Very much appreciated. Thanks
