I been a user for several years of MS Surface Pros, beginning with SP 3, then 4, then 6, and now, SP 8 i7 with 16gig ram. I have had nothing but good reliable performance from these machines. Yes, they are expensive, but worth the money in my opinion. Because MS choose their own components and match them to each other and then integrate them into the software, they perform very well with good reliabilily. I guess strictly speaking, a Surface Pro is not a laptop being slate based, but I am happy with my setup using a MS piece of hardware.
