Anyone know of a music notation vst where I could play from one of the midi input blocks and it would capture it and produce the music score? I just need something to put simple little phrases up, a few bars at most usually. I do not need full notation software I was hoping there would be something really simple.
I read Gig performer can record midi.
Then use Musescore to create a “score” based on the midi file that is created?

Same advice than @jeffn1. There is even a way to record directly in MuseScore from GP using a virtual MIDI port.
As far as I know there are no music notation plugins. But MuseScore 4 is free and very nice:
