The midi learn command fills with jibberish when using the MS editor. What happens is the pedal tells the editor what’s happening and also sends the midi command. Learn gets the first down the line which is intended for the editor. Simple solution is to disconnect the editor from the MS controller then learn. Better would be a sw feature in GP that ignores sysex out, listens only to a specific channel, or whatever can ignore this extra communication is.

I assume by “MS editor” you’re talking about the Morningstar editor. Generally speaking, you don’t want that running while trying to use the controller to operate things.
In GigPerformer you’re also generally better only setting GP to receive on one of the secondary MIDI ports that the Morningstar driver creates. I always use the second port. The first one will contain all that extra midi traffic that you are seeing.

Thank you, great tip for a new user. Fwiw, I played with setting Autotune keys and scales. The key values were an issue but looking at the value of settings on the knob were very helpful.
