Millenium MPS-1000 as a GP drums controller… some opinions?

Have any of the drummers who use GP had a chance to try out Thomann’s affordable Millenium MPS-1000 drum controller? I’d be curious to know how it compares with other brands where this type of controller with an acoustic drum look costs a lot more (given that the built-in sounds are of little importance to GP users).

I haven’t played this particular model, but some of Millenniums acoustic sets.
In my opinion the weakest link is the hardware. Softer metal and shallower threads compared to pro grade hardware. So it depends on how often it is set up and teared down.

The look of the set is fine, but the trigger performance is not on the same level as on the higher end brand names like Roland, drum-tec or Efnote.

Justin of 65drums reviewed the kit here.

Personal note: I converted one of my acoustic kits to e-drums and added this drum-to-midi module which works with any brand of triggers, drum pads and cymbalpads. I’m happy with the results triggering vsts.
