MIDI Player not recognizing note velocity

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue? or know if it is a limitation of the current MIDI Player

I am using the MIDI player as a “drum machine”. Recorded a 8 bar drum pattern in my DAW and saved out as MIDI file. The shaker track has accented notes throughout. Meaning the velocity is flat around around 70 for most of the notes and the accent notes are around 120. When I play it back through GP4, I noticed all of the shaker notes are coming out the same velocity.
I double checked the MIDI file in another program and each note has the correct velocity attached to it.

Is this a current limitation with the MIDI player?

Maybe look at the velocity curve in the MIDI IN Block?

Did you check this with a GP MIDI Monitor plugin ?

No, there is no such limitation. The player doesn’t change the values of Note messages
