MegaMod - a container plugin for parameter modulation (FREE)

I just stumbled upon this article about “MegaMod”…
it’s a “container plugin” (means you can put other plugins into it) which then offers various modulation options/-sources for any parameter of that contained plugin.
You can also save this configuration as a preset.
Of course you could do most of that somehow with the onboard-tools of gig performer (maybe), but it definitely would be a lot more of a hassle.
I thought this could be interesting for some of you:

I just installed the v1.0.0 release of MegaMod after running the v0.9 beta for a couple of weeks. With the v1.0 release, Sync Audio installs two different .VST3 plugins: MegaMod FX (for effects plugins) and MegaMod Instrument (for VSTi3 instrument plugins). Great. The complication with G.P. is that both of those plugins have the same name, but of course are installed in different subfolders. In GP, when I want to insert a plugin in the Wiring view, they both have the same name so it’s not obvious which is which. The show up alphabetically, so the FX plugin is listed first and the Instrument plugin is listed second. When I instantiate the FX plugin, its box is blue and the Instrument plugin has a green box, but they’re label MegaMod and MegaMod (1) respectively, still not clear.

I was looking for a way to rename the plugins in the Plugin windows to add FX and Instrument to the respective plugin names, but didn’t find that ability. So, time to make a feature request!

If you use the ctrl/cmd-P option and search for the plugin, the versions are identified there.

It’s an interesting and handy plugin. If you are really interested in something like this you will find Voltage Modular by Cherry Audio to be ideal for more advanced things

Technically it’s a Virtual Eurorack System but you can host other plugins inside of it and it turns them into “modules”

Because it’s virtual Eurorack you have all kinds of Envelopes, LFOs, Step Sequencers as well as things like mults for splits, mixers, attenuators, etc

I find it to be very handy with Gig Performer and especially with running plugins via Audio Gridder on other cores or other computers on the network. Host Voltage Modular inside of Audio Gridder and then Audio Gridder inside of Gig Performer.
