Hi there, newbie here. I’m using a 2013 MBP, i5, with GP 5 and I’m running into audio issues like sputtering. I’m running GP five with a few waves plug-ins, Arturia plug-ins on OSX Sonoma. Also playing back our backing tracks while our drummer triggers, Addictive Drums 2. This is what we run every show and it’s been OK so far. We use the RME Babyface as our sound card. As for latency, we run at 128 because any lower and we start sputtering. Recently, we wanted to add vocal effects so that our singer goes through the laptop instead of a vocal FX pedal. And that’s when we encountered the sputtering audio. So I’m wondering if it’s time to upgrade my laptop. Would the MacBook Air M2 be sufficient or should I just get the MacBook Pro M4? Any advice would be helpful as I’ve looked through the community topics and haven’t really found one that discusses this. Thanks in advance
Have you tried running a separate vocal instance? You might be able to get more out of your machine this way.

Ok that sounds like a good idea. Ill give it a try this weekend since my drummer has my gear.
