You can set up a widget as a volume control, and check the tick box “Ignore variations”. This will allow you to set the volume once, and it won’t change as you cycle through the rest of the variations.

In that case, for the widget just set the max value in the widget editor to what you want. That max will apply to all variations, but the overall volume can be different in each variation as required.
As mrbeverage says, if you want a ‘master’ volume then just tick the ignore variations and the same volume will remain across each variation.
