I don’t think I found the right site. Max8 is not free other than a 30 day demo
You can always use it as runtime - after 30 days you cannot save, but runtime works always

I got it working - sort of.
The Vortex is sending midi notes and changing the programs on the MOXF8 (not wanted - I have the Rack set to do this) But not selecting Songs in GP3. I used the same PG numbers the MOXF was responding too for the Songs - see image.

Did you enable in Gig Performer That program change messages are processed?
I think so - which screen would I double check?
What messages can you see in the global MIDI Monitor window?
ah - it’s reads MOXF8-4 instead of MOXF8-1 like the setting in MAX. Is that the Problem? What should I change?
In Global I have it set to “Pass Unused”
MAX not showing up as a Selectable Device.
Sorry I do not get your chain:
In my Setup I played some notes in MidiKeys
In the Max Environment I get the notes from MidiKey and send out PC messages to IAC Driver
Gig Performer get PC messages from IAC Driver and all was fine,
I do not know what you can use in Windows.
Maybe Max itself is visible as MIDI Input Port.
So you send the PC message to the Max Device and from that device you get the PC message in GP
maybe I need another program - midi yoke - to get MAX into GP3?
I hope not - whatever works I guess.

When max is started you should see it at midi device in gig performer
You have to enable the MIDI “from Max 1” in MIDI Setup of MAX

what version of max are you using
8.1.8 windows 64
Mine is 8.0.6 but that should make no difference.
You could try this:
Send PC messages from Max to your MOTIF and with MIDI Through go to GP
I wonder if it’s a Windoz problem?
Maybe I should re install Max
