I use Komplete Kontrol (software only) to manage and select my sounds from all my plug-ins. How do you do it? What are the alternatives?
this is exactly what i was trying to do - but I was avoiding using Komplete Kontrol (NI) and/or Analog Lab Pro (Arturia).
My best solution (which takes a ton of work) and not really a good solution is to create a gig file per plugin. Each rackspace is a category of the plugin’s presets and each variation represents an actual preset.
That way I can move through the categories and presets easily.
But as you mentioned in the other thread - the Augmented STRINGS rack was torturing the computer. Other plugins are not so intensive even with that many instances loaded and bypassed.
Although one rackspace per preset would be very modular, it lacks auditioning capabilities, so you import a rackspace then you can hear the preset.
I am aware that using something like Komplete Kontrol would make this way easier - however I don’t trust it because updates to those types of things tends to break them, and I heard even worse, we can lose presets. I am backing up mine to not lose them.
