Gig performer cuts off all audio output from all plugins when the app is first opened. It works for a few minutes and then audio is lost. Once I close the app restart the computer then it works fine for a while. But it happens again.
Did not have any issues with Gigperformer until updating Mac OS to Sequoia 15.4
I am using Dante Sound card and I pretty sure it is not the sound card because I am running Ableton on the same computer with no issues.
Please advise.
Hmm, doesn’t really mean anything – different applications can use different functionality of sound cards. Are you running the Dante Virtual Sound card or do you have physical hardware?
There are a lot of issues with Sequoia in general — particularly related to privacy and security.
That said, while we have tested GP itself on 15.4 and it works fine, we can’t say the same for other drivers. Gig Performer itself uses only the standard OS APIs to communicate with audio interfaces, etc.
Have you tried running GP with just a single (known to be reliable) plugin to see if audio continues?
I was only speculating on the Interface because of the audio cut off. But to answer your questions, I am running Dante Virtual Sound Card installed on our M32 board. I did try to run it on a physical Audio Interface [Focusrite Scarlett 18i20] and faced the same issue.
Wierd - I’ve had no issues with GP until this update.
Could it be a license issue?
Shot in the dark but doesn’t GP pause audio if it’s in demo mode?
Usually after an OS update on my Mac I need to re enter my GP license info.
My other question was:
Have you tried running GP with just a single (known to be reliable) plugin to see if audio continues?
It wouldn’t surprise me if one of your plugins doesn’t work properly with 15.4 and is screwing up everything
I can try that but it seems that Keyscape is the culprit.
Not a license issue.
So if you remove Keyscape then everything works properly?
I will try it and see it what happens
Well, why did you think Keyscape was the culprit?
