Lyrics/Chords Extension

It’s unfortunate that there are awesome extensions available to use with GP, but us folks that have Macs can’t get them to work. I just bought a new MacBook Pro to use with GP, and have also run into this problem with another extension from Boulden Digital called Basic Song Chooser. I realize that registering with Apple as a developer is a hassle, but hopefully you’ll reconsider.

All you need to do is go into the System Settings, and Privacy and Security section, scroll down and see the entry for the extension. Allow it here, and then you can activate the extension in GP.

Where Do you put the extension once you have downloaded it on the desktop?

Are you on Windows or Mac?

How to install an extension in Gig Performer?

.
We already stated that an extension is a file (.dll file on Windows or .dylib file on macOS), so when you download an extension for your operating system, just simply move it to the Extensions folder:

On macOS: /Users/Shared/Gig Performer/Extensions
On Windows: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Gig Performer\Extensions

Enabling/disabling extensions (gigperformer.com)

Please, how can i drive Lyrics/Chord Extension with the marker system in Streaming Audio player ?
I try several ways with the template panel (edit mode) in global Rackspace without result …

The widgets in the template panel should be controllable by marker actions. What are you specifically looking to do? Move to the next page?

You can also put in directives into the file to jump to a section of the file when you switch song parts (the same as the default GP Lyrics/Chords window).

I’ve tested this out, and you can use the marker actions to trigger next page or a specific scroll value.

The handles for these widgets are:

  • GPLC_DOWN - Next page
  • GPLC_SCROLL - Scroll value (value is percentage of total scroll distance). You can also use a value of 0 as a marker action at time 0:00 in order to automatically scroll back to the start of the lyrics/chords file.

e.g.
A marker action for next page looks like this (assuming the template panel is in the global rackspace):

A marker action for a scroll value looks like this (value 0.0 is back to the start of the ChordPro file):

Just curious but can this read PDF files directly?

No it can’t. It can only read ChordPro files that include images e.g. where you’ve used the pdf to ChordPro/image tool.

Thanks for answering that question. Very cool what you did!

When I choose a song on the left side I would like to start the song with my remote keyboard, but that doesn’t seem to work. What am I doing wrong?
