I have loops and stem audio samples i would like to use in almost all my rackspaces. I tried loading them on the streaming media player in the global rackspace but it seems its a bad idea. Its eating away large chunks of CPU. Any better ideas?
How many stems do you need?
i mostly use drum and percussion loops al the time and stems occasionally.
What is the number of samples that you need?
Maybe this could be useful for you: The Decent Sampler XML Generator - Free Download - Gig Performer®
a lot but mostly use them one at a time or combos, like ableton session view
what i actually need is a loop player for my loop samples which can run throughout my rackspaces
I would not think that playing a loop would use up that much CPU. I tend to think real time synthesis and effects is generally more CPU heavy.
A lot of long audio wave files could use up ram. But that can ameliorated by using the Streaming Audio Player.

i use an i7 4th gen Dell Latitude with 8gb ram …. the cpu was literally crying, couldnt do my recent gig with the loop in the background
That a very small amount of ram for this use. How much ram are you using. Maybe you are having file swapping. Insufficient can lead to CPU overload due to file swapping. (Npudar posted about that once.)
That is an absurdly insufficient amount of RAM for a live performance machine.
Also, a 4th Gen i7 processor is from 2013.
That machine is not going to be able to handle much in the way of modern plugins.
