Looping capabilities - VST?

Hi team/GP gurus!

Im wondering if there is a VST that can be used in GP for more of a "live looping’ experience.

Example: Redirecting...

This is a brilliant remix of Would I Lie To You by Charles and Eddie and would love to have the possibility or similar control in GP. Yes, i know it’s easy using a DAW but am hoping to keep this internal to GP.

Thanks!

There is a number of looping plugins, Mobius Looper, MSuperLooper, …

Plenty of plugins to experiment.

As @npudar said, there are many loopers available.

However, to do stuff like what’s shown in that video you probably need not just a looper, but something capable of quantized launching, ability to have multiple tracks/clips, maybe stretching samples, and I have no idea how you would be managing all that without a decent controller with some visual feedback.

So to me it goes to the territory of Maschine with Maschine Jam or Ableton with Push or something similar.

You can run Maschine as a plugin inside GP if you wish, or it can be synced via Ableton Link (which, IMO, makes more sense).

And these are just two products I personally tried for stuff like this (although can’t say I achieved much), but there are simpler sample launchers that can do it, I guess. Still not quite sure why you would need to run them inside GP though.

Thanks npudar! Thank you for these suggestions. I realise there are many out there but mentions/recommendations are always a good start to save a lot if time!

@vangrieg I’d be looking more from a keyboard/midi looper than an audio looper as would be concentrating on the music. The samples would be a bonus but the priority is the midi aspect. I do use Blue Arp arpeggiator which is very good but hoping to take this up a level. :sunglasses:

mobius 3 looper is free and does include midi looping as well as audio.
