Just went to start up GP4 in preparation for an upcoming gig and received the ‘Licence Expired’ error. Having read up about this I suspect it was a background security updated from Apple, but the reason I’m posting this here is to remind you to keep a local copy of your licence info (email address and key) on your Mac / phone. I had to scrabble around for about 20 mins to find mine and had this been in the basement of a venue with no Internet, well… I dread to think… Now if this happens again, I’ll be ready (and yes… I’ve now turned off those automatic updates too).

You are compromising your overall setup by leaving automatic updates running in the background (and before your gig!).
