I use my kronos as my Audio Interface. And I have no issue with GP. the problem is when I use microkorg’s vocoder mode. I can here my voice using the mic inserted to the mic input of the Kronos but the vocoder is not working. i can here the Microkorg when on its synth mode with clear voice of mine but not on vocoder mode. Anyone who knows how to use the microkorg vocoder inside the GP5.
Hi Alex,
a typical Vocoder setup looks like
Audio + MIDI → Vocoder → Audio out inside GP
What I currently don’t know: how does the mic connected to your Kronos route through USB to your GP in? → to be checked inside Kronos
- do you see an input signal (green wires)?
- is there any Mic in to Kronos output / USB output which could cause bleed (on Kronos side)?
Do you have the chance to check with a different audio interface?

I will double check the mic input on the meter. if that is the issue. Maybe the kronos is not configured yet as audio input.

Are you using Windows or Mac? If you are using Windows, I would strongly suggest not to rely on the Kronos as an audio interface of any kind. The lack of a low-latency (ASIO) driver for Windows from Korg make it unusable for live audio on Windows. I wouldn’t trust ASIO4ALL in a live situation either.
