Trying keep my beloved old VSampler running. Had a recent scare, but found a fix.
PROBLEM: After Gig Performer update 5.1.4, VSampler no longer loads its libraries properly (e.g. no library loaded at all)
FIX: In Gig Performer, make a one-time pass through each rack, and “re-save” all instances of VSampler with its proper library loaded.
That’s very strange. The GP update should not have impacted saving or restoring state. What is this VSampler plugin?
VSampler by Speedsoft (code written by Michael Zschoerper aka “Maz”) was bundled with Cakewalk Sonar in 2004 and discontinued updates 2008
It had a deep feature set, in some ways, on a par with Kontakt.
VSampler still works fine in Gig Performer with JBridge.
(I also use Kontakt, but I can do things with VSampler so fast, and many songs are now setup on it… hard to let it go)
I remember (and used) VSampler! (I think even before it was bundled with Sonar). It got a nice reception at k-v-r.

Ah, in that case all bets are off.
I might look into transitioning to another Sampler before it really leaves you in a lurch (maybe be thankful you got this heads up now to make the move). Just my $.02, FWIW.
