John E. Keys

John E. Keys is a keyboardist from Canada. On his YouTube channel you can find original videos and audio of mostly unrehearsed, improvised, musical performances on piano and synthesizers etc. Genres include blues, rock, electronica etc.

Real live musical expression direct from the heart, played with skill and dexterity. This is my art, each piece is one of a kind as an artist would paint; however, with no added touch ups or over dubs. Raw and uncut, played in a variety of styles and surprisingly refreshingly mental

He is influenced by Emerson Lake & Palmer (ELP), Genesis, Yes, Styx, Rick Wakeman, Jethro Tull and other Progressive rock bands… also Synth pop like Thomas Dolby, Howard Jones, Ultravox, Gary Neuman, Tears for Fears, etc. Plus old 50’s blues piano greats, Pinetop Perkins, Otis Spann, Professor Longhair, Memphis Slim and Ray Charles… Also Tangerine Dream and Jean Michel Jarre.

I spy Gig Performer on his videos.
