Jammers' Merburg-Gig 2025

Preparing our venue for this evening…

Once a year we try to do a “public open air rehearsal” on the ruins of an ancient castle near our home town… nothing fancy, just us and a few family & friends doing a little picknick while we play. Hope the weather will stay dry…

Looks like a pretty cool site.

Would love to swing by if I was in the area, but I can’t think of any ancient castle ruins in my area.

I’ll bet your ruins are older than my country.

(Meaning no disrespect to inhabitants that were on the lands before your castle or my country.)

The castle has been mentioned first in approx 1040 AC… pretty old. :face_with_monocle:

Which castle ?

The castle is named “Merburg”… there’a just a ruin left, which is located just about 500m from our rehearsal room. It’s a beautiful place right on top of a rock with a view over a valley to one side, crowded with trees and to the other side a view to a pond (inmidst the surrounding woods)…
After all everything is slightly illegal to make “noise” on such such a place, but who cares? :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Unfortunately we had to stop playing since a huge cloud arrived which brought quite a bit of rain to us… but after all it was write a nice session.
Some more impressions…

(our first fan for this gig)

Oh I see… I might even think of joining with my band for an upcoming event there :+1:

Did you bring a generator ?

Sure! It was placed into the former tower walls… that kept the noise away to some extend.
