Issue with Faderfox UC4 encoders resetting widgets to zero

Hi everyone,

I’m having a recurring issue with my Faderfox UC4 and Gig Performer (v5).

Even though the UC4 uses endless encoders, I’m experiencing a “jump to zero” behavior. Specifically, when I haven’t moved a widget for a little while and then try to adjust it via the UC4, the widget value immediately snaps to zero instead of picking up from its current position.

  • Connection: The widgets are mapped to the UC4 encoders using the MIDI Learn function.

I’ve checked the UC4 internal settings and the encoders are set to send absolute CC values (0-127), which I thought Gig Performer would handle smoothly.

Has anyone encountered this “timeout” or reset behavior before? Is there a specific setting in the Rig Manager or the Widget propertie that I should be using to ensure it works smoothly ?

Should I put the UC4 in relative mode and GP with “Relative Offset” ?

Sorry this took so long to answer. I managed to solve the issue.

I had to put the Faderfox encoders to relative mode. Like this everything works.
