I have a setup where my Behringer FCB 1010 picks variations on the bottom row and has utility switches on the top row.
I would like one of the top row switches to be able to pull up a view showing an 8 song bank in a 4x2 grid, and when I hit one of 8 pedals corresponding to those positions, that view goes away, replaced by the setlist view with that particular song and the pedalboard is now back to its normal operation. I’d also need a way to use those last two switches to go up or down banks of songs. This is pretty similar to how the Helix Floor and LT can be made to operate (inone mode its main switches pick a preset and in the other mode they pick 8 snapshots.
That’s not built into GP at this point — the songs display on the left and the song parts can be displayed in rows at the top, that’s it.
You would to build a third-party extension using the SDK we designed to allow extensions to be created to integrate with Gig Performer. There are some examples of such extensions at the bottom of our partner page https://gigperformer.com/partner
I’m thinking of doing something like this. It looks like Vindes has something similar for the Morningstar pedalboard, but I wasn’t able to really apply it here yet.
I’m thinking the song names could be populated in the text widget with a hidden widget underneath that actually jumped to that song if the area is clicked. The right most buttons on the two rows would move up or down to the next or previous 4 songs. Would something like this be possible with the system actions plugin?
I’ve spent all afternoon looking at these now thanks. None of them really seem to be suited to mapping banks of 8 or ten songs to midi pedals, but there are two that are better than I currently have. I wonder if I can really script something up without going into extension land. I swear I saw a Facebook one where the guy had songs mapped to a pedalboard but I can’t find it now
