Intentional mid lag to smooth pitch bend or breath controller

Wow, that’s great information I use Respiro and will be working on his suggestions today!
I greatly appreciate you reaching out to your expert resources and sharing their knowledge.
Thank you!

By the way @Mathiross, you asked for a script that @Spav took the time to make, it would still be nice to tell us if it solved your problem or not. :innocent:

@David-san You’re right guy !
To be honest, I failed trying but I’m just not accurate on the scripting technic. I haven’t try a script since years ! And since it was the gig periods, I had no time to try again. I’m deeply sorry, this years has been a continuous rush.
But the time to improve my setup has come, I changed my foot pedal, the first rehearsals come soon, It will be the perfect moment to try this script and solve this little issue.
I promise I will give some news here !
I see that @Iska13 seems to know perfectly what I’m speaking of ! That’s a midi wind instrument secret ! :wink:

If you want more reasons for my continuous rush (and if I dare to make a bit of advertisement), my progressive rock band has released its debut album, which has been widely acclaimed and praised. We’re so happy, but it was a lot of work! We’ve been in the top 3 selling progressive rock albums on Bandcamp for months! https://oddleaf.net

And, naturally, my studio and live performance is powered by Gig Performer !
Thanks GP ! :pray:

Congrats on bandcamp — I listened to your youtube video - very nice indeed.

I’ve heard of this MIDI quantization noise, when applied to volume or expression” referred to as “zipper noise”.

In my case, I use a TEControl breath controller with Audio Modeling SWAM instruments, and I have not heard the artefact. My assumption is that Audio Modeling promotes their products for use with expression control, so they include higher resolution filtering as a matter of practice. In fact, when one installs their products and tries to play them before connecting a MIDI input to their expression control, the software shames the user. :slight_smile:

Interesting, thanks for your details !
