I got GP Relayer working in Logic Pro and able to record.
Now I made the setup in Luna DAW and I get the incoming signal. I’m just not able to get it recording also. Need this for recording keys during rehearsal.
Been reading that with an Apollo interface you can use a virtual channel but I work with an Radiant ID14 so I can’t set it up this way.
Anyone has an idea how to set this up in Luna Pro?
Is GP Relayer inserted on an audio track or an instrument track in LUNA?
If it’s an audio track, is the track actually armed for recording, or are you only monitoring the plugin?
If you’re trying to record MIDI, GP Relayer’s MIDI output has to be routed to an instrument/MIDI track. Audio and MIDI are handled separately.
If you’re trying to record audio, LUNA may require you to route the plugin output to a bus or use its commit/bounce workflow rather than recording the insert output directly, depending on the track type. Similar behavior exists in other DAWs like Logic, where recording the plugin output requires routing via a bus rather than recording the insert itself.
Note that the reason for this is because most DAWs record the original sound only, not the effects through which the sounds go through and since GP Relayer is an effect, its output is not recorded directly.
That is why you use these tools trick of routing the channel into another bus channel where the input to that bus WILL be recorded.
It is on an audio track. The output of the GP-relayer track is routed to a bus but I can’t record a bus track. In Logic I can use that bus as an input on a track and record in Logic but in Luna I can’t.
