How to conserve CPU

So nothing is necessarily not working, But I wonder if there’s a more efficient way to run this setup. My CPU cycles in GP are average 31-37% and that feels a bit too high for a live environment. Ideally you’d want 10-20%.

I have 3 instances of Archetype Tim Henson for a clean/crunch/lead tone, and 1 instance of Archetype Nolly for a Rhythm tone in each of their respective rackspaces, and the GGD Cali Cab sim in the global rackspace.

In the past, I used to have all the plugins in 1 rackspace but there were consistency issues with midi commands from my Melo Audio MIDI Commander. Curious to see what my fellow players are doing in their set up!

For some rackspaces I have about 50% and absolutely no issue in playing live.
Do you have issues?

That’s a made-up value. What’s it based on?

Why? What else do you need the cycles for? Are you thinking of reading email, playing games, browsing the web while you’re performing?

I make that comment only semi facetiously. Even though GP is lean, if you’ve got a bunch of plugins that require a lot of CPU cycles, then you kinda have to use those CPU cycles.

As long as you’re not actually getting glitches, this should not be a concern.

Can you explain this in more detail please? What exactly is not being consistent?

Made a separate thread regarding this.
