Hey there. Using GP5 with Ableton 11. Presonus Quantum 2626 via Thunbderbolt 4 connection. Having an issue that really seems like the Presonus is incapable of working with GP-relayer and Ableton. Any ideas of anything I could try before giving up on this process would be most welcome!
I have an Ableton session- when I launch it on its own, I can play the loops and I hear them as expected. See the meters bouncing, etc.
When I launch GP, if I route audio to the Presonus, I can hear my instruments just fine. Un-routed audio from presonus, and instead to GP relayer on the Global panel. Saved. Re-lauched GP session.
HOWEVER, when I start GP again, with GPRelayer, (yes, set to send, ch1) start up Live, insert GP-relayer on a track in Live and set to receive- I can see the meters bouncing when I play patches, so audio IS coming to Live as expected from GP, but I hear nothing…even on headphones connected directly into the Presonus. If I play the loops I have loaded in Ableton- meters bounce- no sound… close everything down, launch Ableton on its own. Meters bounce, no sound…. set audio settings in Live to “No device” and then back to presonus… now loops play again.
It seems to me that for whatever reason, the Presonus is unable to handle whatever GP and Ableton are trying to do, gets confused, and needs to be reset via the ‘no device’ method above to start playing audio again. I’ve looked in presonus settings for something applicable, but there is nothing.
Any advice or anyone experiencing similar please chime in!
