GP5 TEMPO SLAVE for Ableton

Hi all.

I’m having some trouble with Ableton and GP. I have everything working fine EXCEPT :

I’m using Ableton as the master tempo and I want GP to ONLY ACCEPT tempo messages, not SEND tempo messages back to Ableton.

Whilst rehearsing today, I accidentally changed to a variation within setlist with a global tempo much faster than the current song. So, all of a sudden the click from Ableton shot up from 103 to 152 because GP sent that 152BMP signal TO Ableton.

I want to avoid GP sending tempo messages but can’t seem to find any options.

If you’re using Ableton Link to sync between the two, then that is a side effect.

From the Ableton Link manual:

“Tempo changes made by any participant in a Link session will override tempo automation in your Live Set.”

Thank @edm11 . I already read that but I thought there may be an option within GP to avoid outgoing tempo messages.
