For my understanding:
You play on your Arturia and can see Midi Messages in the global Midi Monitor in Gig Performer?
What is your connection?
Arturia => AutoTonic
AutoTonic Midi Out => LoopBe30 Input
LoopBe30 Output => Gig performer ?
Or are you using AutoTonic as a plugin in Gig Performer?
Can you upload a gig to show the issue?
Maybe I can help you
Thank you for the reply pianoPaul…
The midi routing scheme is exactly as you suggested… Auto tonic is standalone does not run in VST… It works as a “sandwich“ app
-
midi controller, > AutoTonic, >
LoopBe30be 30, > GP3… No luck
-
to compare, when I have Reaper getting the LoopBe30 input, everything works as it should. Replacing GP3 for Reaper in the same scheme yields nothing, but with evidence that GP3 is rcving the midi (flashing midi indicator)…
AND when I click on the Midi In block for KeyLab25 controller,… I get sounds when playing the keyboard screen controls…
which version of gig performer are you using?
what messages do you see in the global midi monitor of gig performer?
what plugin in gig performer are you using?
GigPerformer 3 (GP3)
note on and off messages via Internal MIDI
Blue3 Organ… same thing with other instruments…
All of which have had zero problem, independently in both GP3 and AutoTonic
I’ve posed the same scenario with Clemens at AutoTonic…
when you include a midi monitor plugin in parallel to blue 3, can you see Note on And Note Off Messages?
Which velocity?
Which range of notes and which midi channel?
Can you post a screenshot?
I am unsure how to run it “Parallel”?
I access MIDI Monitor from the Title Bar: WINDOW drop down menu
clicking on MIDI In Block reveals: . . .
you can include the midi monitor plugin and connect from your midi in.
then you can open this plugin and see the messages
Here’s something else…
My Reaper is in a Tascam 4x4 interface
MyGP3 is in a Tascam 144ii interface…
not sure if this matters
In Gig Performer You are using virtual midi as midi in ?
the output from AutoTonic is sending out Internal MIDI 1Example GIG.gig (31.2 KB)
Test.rackspace (10.6 KB)
create a new gig and import this rackspace
the open the midi monitor plugin and take a look at the messages
the clippings I sent show my MIDI IN (Arturia KL25)
…also shows the Virtual MIDI In… I have them both on the screen because I was trying different paths and not knowing which way was correct…
- The midi lite flashes whether or not I have either of those connected when playing keylab, again: no sound there, but sound within the MIDI IN Block screen piano bar…
ok trying the test rack now, thanks, I’ll be back_
you know that blue3 reacts on midi channel 1 & 2
and are you sure your Midi In blocks are the virtual Midi In and not the Arturia Controller?
