I am interested in using the Narf Sounds 80’s bundle with Arturia Keylab 88 MK3 keyboard. I presented Arturia with these questions and received a very brief unclear response. The Narf Sounds bundle says for Arturia V Collection X. The present version of Arturia is version 11. Does anyone know if version 11 will work just as well or if I need to locate version X? Also, is anyone using the Arturia Keylab 88 MK3 keyboard with GP 5 and these combinations of software? Is the Pro version of version 11 required or is the Intro version good? Since the Pro version is pretty expensive, it would be quite nice to start out with the Intro version and then upgrade down the road. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.
Normally the plugin state should be the same.
So it should work with version 11.
But to be sure you should contact Narf
I think “Pro” is what used to just be called “V Collection”.
I think “Intro” is what used to be called “Analog Lab” (?)
So, I think “Intro” will not be sufficient.
But, let’s see what others say…..

Im not sure what the Intro version of the collection is, but if you mean Analog Lab then no, it’s not worth getting if you plan on using Narf stuff.
Pretty sure X or 11 will new fine. The Narf stuff uses custom presets I believe, so those will get loaded in to the rackspaces.
I run GP5 with Arturia V Collection 11 Pro and all three NarfSounds 80s packs, and everything works really well! The differences between Intro and Pro are described here - the main thing (besides the price
) is the inclusion of 10 virtual instruments vs. 45. Depending on which Narf Rackspace you’re using, an instrument might not be available in the Intro version, not sure if/how many of the Pro ones are required, but those 10 “overlapping” instruments should be identical in both. (Some of his Rackspaces also use other plugins like BlueArp and effects from Kilohearts Essentials, but those are free to download.) The good news is that Arturia has discounted sales pretty regularly, sometimes up to 50% off, so keep your eyes open!
On a side note, I’m seriously considering getting an Arturia Keylab 88 MK3 to replace my aging Nektar LX88+, but that’s for another thread. ![]()
Thank you very much for the info. I heard Black Friday Arturia usually has sales so I may hold off until then. I wonder if I paid full price for intro version now, if the price to upgrade would be good during the sale??? I’ll be watching for the other thread on the keyboard upgrade….
