GP Crash in Mac when changing sample rate

I know this was solved with someone running Kapersky - but I don’t - when I forget to change my sample rate down to 2.9ms the program freezes when I do it with a large gig file -

I know I should audio set up with a smaller gig file but - if I spent 3 loading my gig file for the night- shouldn’t it just update ?

You should only change it with an empty gig file.

I assume you mean your buffer size

As @edm11 observed, you should only do this with an empty gig file. Some plugins don’t like the buffer size (or sample rate) being changed on them. From your spin dump, it looks like Kontakt 8 is not happy!
