GP 5 with Soundcraft UI24r and Ableton Live 12 as a DAW

My hope is to use GP to better manage multiple VST instruments in performances, jam sessions, with a Soundcraft UI24r and record MIDI, VST audio and analog audio in Ableton for future editing. I currently use Ableton Live 12 as both my VST host/player and a DAW. The MIDI keyboard and pad controllers and a Zoom Livetrak L-12 are connected to a Windows laptop. The Zoom LiveTrak L-12 is the digital interface to route, mix and monitor audio I/O to and from Ableton. This enables me to play, jam, mix and record sessions and live performances using Controllers+VSTs in Ableton and route digital and analog audio out to the Zoom to speakers, IEMs.

Unfortunately, to change VST instruments, settings and FX on the fly in Ableton, I currently have to load and setup different VST instrument configurations in separate Ableton MIDI tracks, then switch the tracks on/off during sessions / performances - a function which GP handles much better. Also, the LiveTrack L12 only has 10 channels for analog audio inputs and 2 for digital out from the laptop (or 8 + 4 channels) which isn’t enough.

So is the following configuration even possible?

Route 3 (or more) MIDI Keyboard and Pad controllers into a Windows laptop running GP to control and manage the various VST instruments & FX (totalling 3+ stereo audio signals - plus the associated 3+ MIDI data streams

Use GP to route the VST’s 3 stereo (6 mono) audio outputs through the UI24r digital interface to 6 Audio channels / tracks into Ableton Live on the same laptop - so I can record the audio of the VST Instrument

Use GP Relayer to route the 3 keyboard controller’s MIDI data to 3 MIDI channels / tracks in Ableton (on the same laptop) so I can record just the controller’s MIDI data (and perhaps other sysex data and other data from GP) during a session/performance. Note these MIDI tracks will not have any VST Instrument or FX plugins since GP will function as the VST host/player - not Ableton. The VSTs will be inserted in the Ableton MIDI tracks later during future editing sessions if needed. I would also use a pad controller to launch Ableton clips, samples, loops and one shots that are pre-loaded in other Ableton Tracks (using session view)

The remaining 18 audio channels in the UI24r will be routing various analog audio signals from mics, hardware synths, and instruments to18 audio channels / tracks in Ableton to record everything.

The audio signal of all 24 channels (plus launch clips) are routed back to the UI24r, mixed via the device’s separate browser UI, and routed to FOH Main outs and Aux / Monitors via the hardware box

Clearly I may not understand how the interface drivers work simultaneously for GP, Ableton and the UI24r? And if they don’t, how do I route GP audio and MIDI to Ableton to record MIDI and VST audio data PLUS the audio data from analog devices connected to the UI24r mixer inputs - then route all the audio back out from Ableton and into the UI24r so it can go to FOH speakers and monitors?
