I had a weird issue happen at a gig while preparing for sound check last night. I fired up gig performer on my Mac mini and went into rig manager to select to appropriate configuration for my hardware at that gig (Nord with Arturia on top). When I clicked on apply, then save GP suddenly crashed. It happened to me multiple times. As part of the troubleshooting I rebooted the machine but saw the issue every time.
I was able to use a workaround by loading a simpler gig file and choosing my rig with that, which remained selected after loading my main rig, and was able to play a successful show. Although I did experience one more crash when I plugged in then USB cable into my Nord (GP is configured to use the midi ports, but the USB connection is needed to send Program change commands from my iPad)
Now that I’m back home, I can replicate the problem on my Mac Studio after loading the main gig file and trying to use the rig manager to select a different configuration. It seems to happen while re-compiling all of the scripts after the rig is saved. I do have a complicated gig file with 71 songs / 98 panels using lots of different VSTs for my main band.
I did save off the text from the crash report, if that’s any use in troubleshooting it. I’ll try try to watch and narrow down which script it’s compiling before the crash.
