I am sure too that the issue does not come from GP4 but to be certain, as Windows uninstallation program does not actually remove all elements, you should try one of the following manner:

If activated, try a Windows restoration point to revert before GP4 installation.
I always create a restore point before installing any new application or windows update, this facilitates issues searching. -
If restoration not activated, another alternative is to uninstall GP4 with Revo Uninstaller (portable version, no installation) that uninstalls then makes a deep scan in order to completely clean the system.
Then check Chrome, and if it is ok, reinstall GP and check again Chrome…
