I am wondering if there is a difference between routing each plugin out its own stereo output and routing them to one stereo output? See images.
There shouldn’t be: in both cases the values of the samples are literally summed. If you’re going to use the mixer I would favor the upper version: less wires thus easier on the eyes (as far as I’m concerned 
)

Either of these approaches should provide essentially the same outcome from what I can see. Do what makes sense to you in terms of organization.
