We’re excited to announce that Gig Performer 5.0.40 is now available as a free update for all Gig Performer 5 license holders! This update introduces new improvements and fixes designed to enhance your experience, reflecting our ongoing commitment to improving Gig Performer through user feedback and rigorous testing.
New Additions to Gig Performer 5.0.40
- Actions requiring a widget or plugin handle now provide a dropdown selection, eliminating the need to manually type in handles.
- The Widget Inspector now allows you to scroll if there isn’t enough room on your screen to display the full contents.
- Step functions can now be easily generated from a button in the Value tab.
- Copy and paste functionality is now supported in action dialogs.
- The System Actions plugin now includes NextSetList and PrevSetList parameters, enabling smoother setlist navigation.
- The Streaming Audio File Player now supports multiple search paths, making it easier to locate relocated song files and reducing load times when switching between computers with different song file locations.
- Continuous controllers can now be used more effectively in a stepped mode by enabling the “send scaled changes only” toggle in the Value tab.
- The Variation Direct Access option is now available for song parts.
Fixes You’ll Appreciate
- Actions: Plugin parameters are now always remembered when using the SetPluginParameter action.
- Widgets and OSC: Widgets now handle continuous data more efficiently.
- Play and Pause: The Streaming Audio File Player now correctly prevents Play and Pause from being selected simultaneously.
- Looping with Actions: Actions inside looping sections in the Streaming Audio File Player now run correctly during a loop.
- Global Transpose: Proper global transpose values are now set when gig files are loaded in rackspace view.

How to Update
Current Gig Performer 5 users can update directly from within the application.
Open Gig Performer, navigate to ‘Options,’ select ‘General,’ and click ‘Check Now’.
The following dialog will appear:
Click ‘Get Update’ to download and install the latest version.
