I have just purchased Gig Performer and find it very capable - even in this early incarnation.
I came across though what must be a bug.
Editing a rackspace I tried to “Duplicate” some Kontakt 4 plugins.
They never showed up in the editor but they do appear in the plugin list where I will map widgets to parameters.
Also the rackspace file is pretty large.
I have no ideas how to delete these ghost plugins?
Mac? Windows? AU plugin? VST plugin? Which version of Gig Performer are you running? Have you tried moving other blocks in case the duplicate blocks were directly underneath (which shouldn’t happen, but lets check all the possibilities!)
I don’t think anyone has ever reported this issue before
If you duplicate other plugins, do they appear in the connection view?
Can you insert new Kontakt4 plugins?
Must admit I’ve never used Kontakt 4 — I always thought it was 32-bit only but I guess not.
Have you tried with Kontakt 5?
Can you actually reproduce this? E.g, if you create a brand new gig, then insert a single instance of Kontakt4 and then duplicate it, what happens?
Rackspaces are certainly large — they are storing the entire state of every one of your plugins.
Thanks a lot for your swift response.
I will answer the best I can.
I run GP in Windows 10 using VST plugins only.
GP version 2.1.2
No - there are no block beneath other blocks
Yes - I can insert new Kontakt 4 plugins.
Kontakt 4 is 64 bit too.
I have a sightly older version of Native Instruments’ Komplete.
Eventually I will upgrade to a newer version but I have so far not had any issues with it in any other host (Cantabilie 3 and BloxPander)
“Unfortunately” I cannot reproduce the error.
I have tried a completely new gig file as well as the corrupted.
I am able to push a duplicated plugin outside the screen boundaries but it turns up again nicely when I move the main GP window.
Is there any work around to get rid of the ghost plugins?
I guess GP stores all data including sample files?
Cantabile files appears much smaller?
However - loading time is roughly the same
