Have a MacBook Air M4 + Tahoe 26.3 …running glitch free at 96k / 32 Sample buffer with everything - GP5 CPU never goes above %35.
My main Amp Sim is S-Gear.
I was curious so I installed the VST3 and then AU Demo of the new Fractal Audio Icons Plugin 7 day full Trial.
Replaced my S-Gear Block with the Fractal Icons Block … BAM … GP5 CPU pegged at %100 ?!?!?!?
Anyone else have or seen this problem ?

Hmmm … I thought that there would have been some Fractal Icons owners here (?)
I am waiting for more free time to trial it, as they only give you a 7 day trial. Especially given the cost is so high.
I am also waiting to see how they handle updates, as they have implemented very little with other software titles (I own FAS Reverb and Cab Lab 4 with multiple dyna cab packs).
Is the standalone working fine? Have you tried it in other hosts?
The CPU usage with this plugin is ridiculous. I’d never consider using such a thing live.
I loaded onto an older laptop, and just sitting there with everything off it idled around 50%. Definitely not coded well.
