Hello Gig Performer friends,
Is there any interest or any chance there can be a thread among GP users to offer to sell or trade various musical equipment? I believe with the use of PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, that there could be safe transactions amongst the GP family. @dhj @npudar, what do you think? So many of us have tried various Midi controllers, devices, etc., and they might be perfect for someone else’s use. 
I know I wouldn’t think twice about obtaining used gear from someone in the GP community.

I was just checking this forum to see if this existed. Got some more specialized gear I’m looking to sell and not getting many hits on Reverb. Plus I’d like to not give them 10% for selling it there if possible

Unfortunately this is something we can’t support. The problem is one of liability. If there were to be a problem with a transaction, we could be held responsible because we are hosting the content.

Would it make a diffrence if it was done via a private group on Facebook?
I know there exist quite a number of those market places on FB…
Perhaps create an information thread just to announce the sale of such and such equipment, adding a link to the sales site ?
Not practical for those who don’t use this site. 
Same problem – if we tell people to go to “X” for transactions and there’s a problem, we could be liable.
Sorry - this we can’t do.
