First good looking panel layout

First, sorry for not being responsive last week (and I might not be too much in the upcoming weeks).

However, I used GigPerformer a lot, mostly at home to ‘program’ and think of a good panel layout and created one, so I can a lot of things not able when I was using hardware synthesizers, like:

  • Using a mod wheel as a pitch bend (not in the panel below),
  • Using pads to trigger sound effects (as my Kronos did not have pads)
  • Using my Korg NanoKontrol2 as a keyboard sound mixer including balance knobs.
  • Using expression pedals as volume, BUT also overridable if I want it to use for other functions
  • Changing leslie speed with my sustain pedal instead (actually one switch of my Behringer FCB1010 MIDI foot pedal).
  • Having a great overview of controls to use
  • Having a clear ‘note’ line to think about
  • Having enough ‘real estate’ for chords and/or notes.
  • Using a foot switch as a mod wheel, gradually increasing/decreasing its value.
  • Being able to layer/split more than 16 sounds
  • Probably forgot a lot to mention

Below is a panel I created in GigPerformer, and using it as template for other songs.

… and you can download it … :innocent:

True, but not sure what the advantages are (except for initially not having to go to store?)
