First gig with Gig Performer

Tonight is the first gig for my all Gig Performer right. Two keyboards, guitar and steel guitar all through Gig Performer.

Very interesting.

What are your computer specs?

How did you organize your gig files?
Multiple instances?

Iā€™m using an old HP Probook with an i7 2.3 GHz CPU and 16 GB of RAM. I tried several different ways of organizing and settled on a rackspace for each instrument with different variations as needed. I used a setlist to go through the different variations I needed. It worked well, just having to press one foot switch to get whatever tone I needed from whatever instrument I was playing. It also had the side benefit of muting the instrument I was playing at the time.

I use a couple sounds from my Roland RD88 directly. I feed that into some processing on the Global Rackspace so it is available throughout the whole gig, no matter what rackspace I am on currently.

I use a Motu M4 so I have 4 ins and outs to use. The latency of the whole system is low and very stable so far.
The show went smoothly with no glitches from Gig Performer. I need to get a footswitch with two switches so I can go forward or backwards through song parts without having to reach for the keyboard controller.
