I am getting an error messages while my Gig file loads, possibly because of a missing sample file for Kontakt. Funny thing is, I can only guess what the error is since I cannot read the message! It is hidden under the “File loading …” box that GP5 displays while its loading a file. The loading procedure will stop and I (fortunately) can still click a partially visible "OK’ button of the error message to make it disappear, after which the file continues to load. Apparently neither the “File loading” message box, nor the error message box can be moved to make the text visible.
I am now left with trying to figure out what the message was to avoid it in future.
Fortunately, there was still a piece of the error message OK button visible, otherwise the file loading would have been interrupted with no way to get past it. Has anybody else seen this problem? Am I missing something here?
What version of GP are you using?
Try exporting all your rackspaces. Then start Gig Performer with no gigfile open. Drag individual rackspaces into it until you hit the one that is generating the error.

My issue is less to do with the error itself than the fact that those message boxes are on top of each other and cannot be moved, rendering the message essentially unusable or worse, stalling the program for good. But you are right about the work around. That should work.
Can you upload a screen shot – and again, what version of GP are you running?
Someone had once posted a way to close the windows that is blocking the Kontakt windows. I forget what is was (involves the esc. key?).
Maybe someone can post that again?
Oh, maybe it was placing the mouse cursor on the hidden box (the part you can see) and clicking on it?

Well, I was actually finally able to move the error box out from behind the “File loading” one. It was not exactly intuitive because it barely stuck out from behind the box in front and you had to grab a tiny edge. I guess there is no real problem as long as the error message is slightly bigger than the box in front. It would be helpful, though, if the box in front was movable. BTW, the version is the latest GP5 release as of today.
I’ve had that issue a few times when moving files across to other computers, or editing a sample in Kontakt. I believe it is a file/folder structure issue where the last saved state of the Kontakt isn’t updated to link to where the sample/s are at, when Kontakt is loaded for that rackspace. I believe you have to make sure edited samples are resaved with Kontakt after editing.
One thing that gives a clue is to watch what rackspace is loading when the error pops up, and that usually points to the rackspace that has the issue.
