Delay Tail Spillover

Is it possible to set a delay plugin that the tail will spillover when turning it off? Thanks.

I am not sure if I understand correctly.
Just place a gain control before the delay and set the level complete down when you do not want a delay anymore.
So this gain control acts like a effect send.
And the generated delay is not cut like it would be when you bypass the plugin.

So I have to set up a parallel path with the gain control and delay. Maybe you can send a picture of the wiring?

I would have duplicate the rackspace with delay off and use patch persist with a custom audio tail lenght, which is a plus.
But if the delay has to be on and off several times, the first solution is the best.
