Even at the risk that this has already been discussed several times, I can’t find a definitive answer, so here is my question:
In addition to my keyboard VSTs, which run in local rackspaces, I have the e-drums and bass VSTs in the global rackspace. I control the different settings per song for the global VSTs via widgets in the respective local rackspaces.
I now have the problem that, not reproducibly, sometimes when switching songs the e-drum and bass levels become extremely loud. I suspect that when switching songs, the settings are sent too quickly or too early to the respective VSTs or channels, and they don’t react correctly.
Is it sufficient to activate an “Action → Delay” in the song, for example set to 100 ms? Would that delay the entire sending of the widget values by 100 ms?
The band isn’t very happy when I test things during rehearsal, so I wanted to ask in advance.
By the way, I just assume that this behavior, as explained above, is the reason for the suddenly “loud” instruments which are running through the global rackspace.
It differently has to do with the VST’s in the global rackspace.
It sometimes happens that the level/ sound of the VST’s in the global rackspace is high/ loud, until I hit the keys at the keyboard, which is heading a vst in the local rackspace and the level of the VST’s in the global becomes as it should be.. As written before, I can not really reproduce the failure, but it happens. My feeling is that it happens more, as longer we play; but also this I can not prove..
