Control midi in global

Hi everyone!

Here’s a query I can’t seem to fathom out.

My idea is to place a piano in GLOBAL which I can control from LOCAL. That’s the easy part …

What I need in this case is the following :

In LOCAL, I sometimes need the piano sound to be just a couple of octaves and tuned 2 octaves higher so I can play left hand piano (sounding midrange) and right hand whatever.

Is there some way to insert MIDI INs (configure each to my needs) in GLOBAL that I can activate and deactivate at will from LOCAL?

Do you my drift?

Basically I need the same piano in GLOBAL that I can change octaves and key ranges from LOCAL.

I had a moment of inspiration and funnily enough, I actually remember having read this article a few months ago…
“Global Parameter Assignment” came to my mind while having lunch (It’s lunch time here in Spain) … well… just “parameter assignment”, to be honest … So I dove into GP and looked for it like mad… found it and came here to let you guys know that I had sussed it out …
