Yesterday we had an open air gig. I lost the interface again, but I saw what happened. It was a very short power drop. So I will look for a small UPS.

Yesterday we also had a gig in the evening sun starting in the sunny afternoon at >30°C - everything worked like a charm: the Ui24R, the UPS, my MBP, tablet & keys warmed up quite a bit, but OK.
I think this combination (isolator & UPS) solved my issues. 
And I share your thoughts: I think the bigger issue are power drops - so start with the UPS! Consider a line-interactive one like the one I mentioned above!
