Closing laptop lid but keeping the laptop running

Greetings,

I’m using GP5 on a Mac Book Pro silicone. I have an iPad mini on one of my keyboards as a mirrored display. Works great.

Is there any way I can close the lid of the laptop during the show without the Laptop losing connection to the iPad? I don’t really want to use an ordinary external monitor if I can avoid it.

The iPad is connected via USB not wifi.

At the moment I am just closing the lid up to the point of the disconnection and propping it open.

Thanks

Andy

I know that on Windows you can change this behaviour in the energy settings, but since this is an Apple specific question, i will move the topic over into the MAC subforum.
I think that will be a better place for it!

Yeah, that’s what I have, although not for the same use.

This terminalcommand prevents the mac going to sleep when closing the lid
sudo pmset -b sleep 0; sudo pmset -b disablesleep 1
To enable again…
sudo pmset -b sleep 0; sudo pmset -b disablesleep 0
