Cherry Audio GX-80 issues, Effecting everything

I know this is not a GP issue, but i want to see if anyone has any idea what to do about it. I was about to purchase it but now im not sure.
Basically, after a while the plugging stops producing any sound out of the left channel. The left wire isnt lighting up so i know it’s the plugin and not my audio device.
Worse still, it stops all audio from everything coming out of the left channel. If i bypass the plugin then i get my audio back. I tried this on 3 different rack spaces.

Anyone heard of this before? running on a M1 MBP with everything up to date.

How much of a while? Hard to reproduce if we don’t know how long to wait!

That is very nasty.

I could believe an issue with a trial version that would stop audio periodically but not impacting other plugin.

Have you reached out to Cherry Audio? (and before you comment, we have a very good relationship with them)

Edit: Are you using VST version or AU version?

For what it’s worth, I just left mine up and running for two hours, came back to it and it’s fine.

Mine was on all day and didn’t have an issue, but earlier this evening it started playing up. I think it was when I added another instance of it in another rack space.
I’ll keep an eye on it.
Im only using the demo, so maybe that could be part of the issue.

Im using the VST3 version. Demo mode only seems to add hiss everyone and then.
It’s not repeatable, it just happens. I can’t actual cause it to happen.

I will drop them a line.

Interesting — one thing to be aware of (and perhaps bring to the attention of plugin developers) is that sometimes developers don’t think about the consequences of multiple instances of a plugin and they may have some “global/shared” information that can screw things up.

I was using it quite a bit last night and it worked fine. It’s still in demo mode as im torn between this and Model 77 so just evaluating both for now.
