Bypassing different plugins for different variations

Day 3 of using Gigperformer, Is this the best way to go about separating the instruments for different variations of the song? and to create a widget for every single plugin bypass? it doesn’t seem very efficient. Is there a way to have one widget controlling the bypass of several plugins say 5 plugins at once? Thanks

Yes the easiest way is just to have separate widgets.
Widget Link Groups will be your friends…

…but then it’s one for all and all for one!
If too many widgets are visually disturbing you might want to set the “Hide” option for all but one widget of a group.

Keep in mind that when bypassing the effect plugins the dry signal is going through.
Maybe it is better to insert a Gain control before the first plugin in the chain and use the Mute Button.
This way you need less widgets and the dry signal is muted.

Ahh so i would only need to mute the gain and the start of the chain instead of bypassing every plugin individually? Would that make the cpu work harder as all the plugins are turned on?

*at the start of the chain

Normally good programmed plugins do not need CPU when no Audio is to be processed.
And yes CPU may work harder, but do you face an issue with the CPU when all plugins are not bypassed?
And I see you are using “Reel ADT Stereo”, this has a latency of about 40ms.
You should use the “Reel ADT Live Stereo”, about 2ms latency

Just a friendly note: Don’t use Midi In (Omni) for your midi input, you open yourself to all kinds of Midi troubleshooting later on.

Better : Use a named Midi Port

Best: Use Rig manager to virtualise your keyboard setup (many advantages, but will make moving your rig to different hardware a piece of cake)
