Bypass function hit or miss on 2.0.18

I know I am probably thinking of more weird ways to use this software than many people so this might be one of those "It hurts when do this, so don’t do that kind of things But it was working before the updates.
Anyway,I have been using six different midi in blocks with each set at a different transposition, the purpose being to create variations using plugins transposed to a different key. I have a light assigned to bypass all midi in blocks except the one at the desired transposition. Each variation would be a specific voice or layer of plugins at a certain transposition. This worked flawlessly and meant I could have more transpositions easily available than the controller (EWI) can provide.

Now after the update, midi blocks no longer respond the same way. The bypass assignments don’t change at all or they change once and don’t change back. I rebuilt a gig from scratch setting things up the same as before and looking at it from the connection side the variations stopped working after the third time. For now I am not setting things up this way for the time being. I am also switching controllers to the Roland Aerophone which allows each patch assignment to transpose so this isn’t a huge deal but I am curious as to why this has stopped working with this update.

Daniel, any chance you could provide us with the smallest possible .GIG file and precise steps to exactly reproduce the problem you’re having. I’m unaware of any reason why this would not work (particularly if it used to)

Yes, Let me put together something in the next couple of days.

Hi David,
I have put together a very simple gig file to illustrate what the issue is that has developed. I have six midi input blocks set to transpose to the keys of Eb, F, G, A, Bb, and C. On the rack panel there is a light panel for each midi input block that is set up as an invert value so the light comes on when the bypass function is turned off. There are six variations on the left for each input block to turn off its bypass function when selected and the bypass of all of the other blocks would be engaged so that the selected transpose block is the only active midi input block operating.Selecting each variation changes the transposition by engaging the midi in block of the selected transposition and bypassing the others. This worked fine up until the latest update. In setting this up today I opened the gui for each midi in block so I could see what was happening. As I went through each variation none of the bypass functions were engaging unless the original one was engaged. Changing variations bypassed the original midi in block but did not activate the selected block. Everything was connected and all of the blocks were shown to be properly inverted. After saving the gig and closing and reopening gig performer and running through the variations. The one engaged when the gig was saved was open with its widget lit. Changing to the next variation the widget would blink and go dark. I would click on the widget again to turn it on and then double click the corresponding variation to accept that value. Going back to the previous variation which appeared to work or at least light up. Then go back to the variation I just fixed and it would blink and go out again.Every other variation at that point wouldn’t even light up. I used FM8 as a plugin so I could hear if any transposition was taking place and each variation played the same pitch on the same key of the keyboard even when manually engaging and bypassing each midi in block so I don’t have any idea of what is going on. Where do I send the gig file if I can’t upload it here?
Thanks,
Dan

Have you tried your gig file with GP 2.1 which we just released today?
